SIVA SELLATHURAI is the Vice President of Tax for Office Depot Inc., one of the world's largest sellers of office products and an industry leader in every distribution channel, including stores, direct mail, contract delivery, the Internet and business-to-business electronic commerce. 

Prior to joining Office Depot, Mr. Sellathurai was an International Tax Director at EMC Corporation based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and was responsible for all aspects of EMC’s operations in Asia Pacific and Americas.  He also held various positions within General Electric Company’s Corporate Tax Department in Albany, NY; GE Industrial Systems in Plainville, CT; and was the lead tax person at one of GE’s joint ventures based in Charlottesville, VA.  At GE he specialized in International Tax planning, compliance and audit with heavy emphasis on operations in Europe and Puerto Rico. 

Prior to GE, Mr. Sellathurai worked in the State & Local, Federal and International tax departments of Stanley Tools based in New Britain, CT.  There he was involved in all aspects of US tax compliance. 

Mr. Sellathurai received his B.S. in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut, and his M.S. in Taxation from University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut.
