Shyam Dua has more than 20 years of experience in federal & state income, franchise, property and sales tax areas.  His experience also includes all aspects of tax planning, research and compliance for corporations and partnerships.  

Shyam Dua has been employed as Vice President, Tax with HMSHost Corporation in Bethesda, MD since May 1997. HMSHost is a world leader in creating shopping and dining for travel venues. HMSHost operates in more than 100 airports around the globe, including the 20 busiest airports in North America. It has annual sales in excess of $2.6 billion and employs more than 33,000 sales associates worldwide. Shyam is responsible for a direct report of 12 professionals who are very well diversified in all areas of taxation. 

Prior to Joining HMS, Shyam spent 11 years, as a Manager and then Assistant Director of Taxes, with UNC INCORPORATED (now a division of GE Engine Service) in Annapolis, MD.  

Shyam is a CPA and earned his BS in Accounting and Masters of Taxation at University of Baltimore, MD. He has served as Regional Vice President (Southeast region) of Tax Executives Institute. He is also a member of AICPA and MACPA.
