Identifying A Mentor
At TaxDiversity.com we believe that an important part of career development is the mentoring process. We have developed a powerful system that allows Mentors and Mentees to build and expand relationships that will provide growth for all those involved.
1
Click the link below to view a list of prospective Mentors and a brief bio.
2
Browse through the list and choose an individual who you think has the proper background and skills. You can choose a Diversity Mentor, but you are obviously not limited to only those Mentors.
3
Selecting a Mentor from the list will take you to a Mentee Bio page where you will fill out similar information on yourself, including the specific areas you wish to be mentored in. This information is then forwarded to the prospective Mentor in an email along with your contact information.
4
If the Mentor feels they can be an asset to you in a mentoring relationship, the dialog will begin by their contacting you directly. If for some reason they choose not to mentor you (examples: they have too much on their plate to give proper attention to you, they don't feel they have the strength in the area you would like to be Mentored), you will be notified by us and you can browse the list for another potential Mentor.
Becoming A Mentor
The ability to give back to your chosen profession is one of the most rewarding aspects of mentoring. Follow the steps below and become a Mentor and help make a difference.
1
Click the link below to fill out the Mentor Bio page where you will list brief background information including work history, technical background and contact information. You may also choose to participate in our General Mentor Program by checking the appropriate box on the form.
2
A representative from TaxDiversity.com will contact you to go over the process in detail and to make sure that mentoring is for you. The time commitment you have will be minimal (you control it) after you have established your mentoring relationship.
3
When approved, your "confidential" listing will be created and activated for potential Mentees to view and apply. You have the ability to accept or pass on each Mentee that applies - we want the mentoring process to be a positive one for both involved, so we do not force you to take on more than is appropriate. At any time you can inactivate your profile and not accept any more Mentees - you are in control.

So You're A Mentor
You will have all the contact information you need for your Mentor or Mentee and you will be able to initiate and develop the relationship through telephone and/or email conversations.
Occasionally, TaxDiversity.com may inquire into how the process is working, update you on new developments at TaxDiversity.com or ask about the experiences you have had that might help benefit other members through the TaxDiversity.com mentoring program. Thank you for your interest and participation.
