In the last decade the tax profession has made some positive strides towards equality but a fundamental issue still exists; diversity in the tax profession - especially ethnic - is seriously lacking and to the overall detriment of the tax field. For this reason alone, a group of senior tax executives and I founded TaxDiversity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and dedicated the organization to strengthening the tax profession through diversity.
